At the risk of being schoolmarmish! PLEASE ride in groups and be aware at all times of the rider at the back
I read a mail a couple of weeks ago from someone that was Hijacked on the EMBA routes just above “sixpack hill”.
I’m not sure whether you want to also send out another warning mail to members. I was Hijacked very close to the same spot last Saturday, probably by the same guy with a screwdriver in the same area at about 15h30 in the afternoon. It was after the top of Sixpack hill, riding towards Shongweni Polo Club, at the first crossroads you come to. He got my cellphone, iPod and bike (a BMC FS-01 serial number 3M32J0122 in case anyone comes across it by any chance) I think he might have had an accomplice, as in the last case, further up the hill as he knew to come out from behind the cane at exactly the right moment.
A pity that this has started happening on trails we’ve been riding safely for 20 years.
