Trail Upgrades

A huge thank you to all who have responded to the fundraising initiative for the EMBA Trails. The donations and sponsorship contributions.

The proceeds are being used, as can be seen from the WhatsApp communications, to establish both new and existing trails. Progress on the Shongweni trails is somewhat ahead of the North Coast at the moment.

North Coast additions include the Single Track behind the SASA farm which forms part of the 10km loop that Shaun has constructed. He has initiated a Friday ride at 15h30 from Cycle Lab as a “weekend taster”. Please support.

The next priority is to re-establish Allies Ally. This trail is to be re-routed above the high river level and will provide a much needed access to the Northern areas.

There are a number of initiatives in the pipeline going forward, e.g.:

·       Payment options for both annual and day memberships

·       Trail marking

·       Sponsorship naming boards

·       EMBA Bike Board options

The pro-rated membership fee from June to December 2025 is R650.00. Students and pensioners (70+) can join at a nominal fee of R350.
